New Countertops

Here are the pictures of the new counter tops. They are awesome! As you can tell the back splash is not done yet because we have not had time to work on it. It should not take long to do. I feel like I have a whole new kitchen!

 

Rylan

Our last post was birthday party #1, well we never got to the next party because Rylan got RSV. He was supposed to go to his one-year well check on February 14 but we went in earlier that week because he had cough but the doctor did not think it was anything. A couple days later on Valentine's Day we went back because he was still not better and got to take an ambulance from the doctor's office to the hospital because his oxygen level was so low. For there it is a blur over the next two weeks. It was pure HELL and there is not other way to put it. I do not wish RSV on anyone. Grammy was here to help us. She and I both ended up getting sick too. Jordon had to spend a few nights at the hospital with just him and Rylan.

We are so glad to be out of the hospital and home. Rylan is getting back to normal and his sweet personality is coming back. It was awful the way he would look at us and not smile or laugh at all in the hospital. For future reference, we will not be doing any type of remodeling or see anyone in all future Februarys.

One bright note is we did the counter tops installed and they look great! However because of the hospital stay Jordon has not had time to work on the back splash. The installation was happening on February 14 while we were at the doctor so Jordon had to wait until they were done to meet us at the hospital. I will try to put up some pictures of the counter tops soon.

We have pictures from the hospital but they make me cry every time I look at them so no pictures for this post.

Rylan's Birthday Party #1

 Pops and Memaw came to visit this weekend and to see Rylan for his first birthday. The boy is going to have several parties. Next weekend my family is coming to celebrate Rylan and Madilyn's birthdays.

Cameron really wanted Rylan to dive into the cake and he was pleased. I think we have a boy with a major sweet tooth. He comes by is honestly from both of us.

After the bath Rylan opened presents and cousin Rhett helped.

 Uncle Cameron had to open all the child proof boxes.

Rylan's first haircut

Rylan went with me to see Tammy today and get our hair trimmed. You can't really tell from these pictures but he needed a haircut. Now he is ready to have all the family visit over the next couple of weeks and take pictures at the end of the month.  

Rylan did really good. He got upset at first but did well during the hair cut. He did enjoy flirting with all the girls at Tammy's. 

P.S. the new counter tops will be installed next week!!! I will try my best to keep up with birthday and renovation pictures.

Kitchen Upgrade

We have decided after 4 1/2 years to finally put in new counter tops in the kitchen. That is what took up most of our January weekends. I think we went to every store in Lubbock 3-4 times to look at all the choices. We will have new granite counter tops soon.

Here are the before pictures (wow what a clean kitchen!). This was before they came out to measure so we had to take everything off the counters.  I will post pictures of the progress. Jordon is going to do the prep work and the back splash after the granite is installed.I cannot wait for it to be finished!!

Christmas

We traveled to see both sides of the family during Christmas so we were not home much. It has been a whirlwind since we got home too. It seems like I have not sat down on the computer at home for months. Needless to say, I have a lot of pictures to download. We don't have many from Dudley Christmas because everyone shared the stomach bug so no one was up for much activities.

I know it has been a while so look for Christmas pictures and more this week sometime. I have been trying to carve out some time to download pictures and post but it just never fits in our schedule.
