First trip to McLean

 We spent the 4th thru the weekend in McLean with Grammy and Papa. This was Rylan's first trip to McLean. He had a bath the night before. I have not taken any pictures since he has started using his little bath tub. He enjoys a bath but hates that mom puts lotion on him after it.

 

Rylan sure gets tired at the grandparents house. He was very relaxed in this picture.

We cooked steaks out for Nikki's birthday. The boys (and dogs) enjoyed sitting outside with the fire going. The steaks sure took a long time to get ready!

 Abby loves Grammy's waterfall and pond in the backyard. She sits in it majority of the day and gets everyone wet when they come outside to play.

Aunt Gina came over to visit too.

And that wore Rylan out again.

Even Abby got to play with her cousins. Ziggy stayed the weekend.

 Abby loves Grammy's playhouse. She did not have any of the older grandkids to play with her this time so she would go up the rock wall by herself.

Rylan enjoyed swinging. He would fall asleep every time we went out there.

 Ms. D came by to visit also. Rylan was very popular on this trip. He also got to go to the feed store and bank.

4 months and beyond

Rylan has really grown and matured since his four month checkup. He is really acting like a four month old baby. It is so amazing to watch him and all the new things he is learning. He is more like a four month old than his adjusted age of two months. 

Rylan's favorite activity lately is play with his stuffed animals. He can really focus on them and is starting to grab. He also has discovered his voice and is constantly making noises. There is not a sweeter sound that I can think of; of course anytime I try to video the sounds, he just stares at the camera. 

Rylan's hair is so long on top! He has started to lose a little on the sides but that top part just keeps growing.

So close to rolling over...

 

Rylan is trying to roll over. I thought I would try to catch him on video but he got distracted by sucking on his hand. I am not sure what we were watching in the background. Sounds like a movie.

 

Rylan likes to sleep on his side now that he knows he can move around. 

 

 Abby got a bath the other day. She loves to run around after her bath. She really likes to run over to me and shake. I ran back in the house this time.

The best part of my day! 

In the summer, I get to come home at 4pm instead of 5pm so there is time for a quick afternoon nap with Rylan.

 He was being a little grumpy the other day. Jordon sent me this picture.

A couple of weeks ago we had one of the famous Lubbock haboobs. Jordon went outside to take some pictures as it moved in towards our house. 

Lacy Family Reunion

Last weekend we traveled to the Lacy family reunion in Kerrville. This was a longer trip test trip for Rylan. He did great. We went to Comanche first then on to Kerrville but on the way home we drove straight from Kerrville to Lubbock. We did stop in Junction to have lunch with Uncle Craig. I did not get the camera out much so some of these pictures are from our phones.

4 Months Old - June 12 2012

Rylan had his 4 month check up Tuesday. He did great with his shots again. He did cry a little this time because he now knows he has a voice. He just slept most of the day. I stayed home :)

The last two videos I was trying to get him smiling and giggling in his sleep. He kept doing it so I grabbed by phone and of course did not get a good video of the big smile and giggle but you can see it some.

Hefley Family Reunion 2012

Our first big trip out of town was June 1-3 to Amarillo for the Hefley family reunion. It was a fun and successful test trip with Rylan. I did not get the camera out much but managed to take a few pictures of the family. Friday night we had a big dinner with all the family. We had too much stuff so the camera did not make it in that night. Saturday the kids (including Jordon, Aaron and Nikki) swam at the hotel. After the swim Grammy wanted to take everyone to get yogurt. Dennis, Brenda, Bentley and Colton went too. Saturday night we had a cookout at the park. We did not stay long at the park with Rylan plus it got a little sketchy close to dark.

Uncle Matt too Caleb and Caitlyn to the pond to feed some ducks. Jordon and I walked down there to take some pictures just in time to witness the murder of an innocent duck. No it was not by Caleb or Caitlyn but they were baiting in the ducks with Cheez-its for the little hoodlums. Needless to say that ended the duck feeding and we did not get any pictures.

No sure what is going on here but it can't be good.

All the kids were playing on whatever this is. We were glad Rylan is not old enough to participate.
